- Scottish wildcats are incredibly rare, thanks to crossbreeding and habitat loss and illegal hunting. There are, at most, 34 in the wild, but possibly none.
- There’s a project underway to breed them and release them into the wild.
- The first season involved pairing up 16 adults. They just had two litters of five each, which is extraordinary in captivity, bringing the number up to eighteen new Scottish wildcats!
